Event Description:
Join us for an in-person practice day as we come together in community for meditation, dharma teaching, and fellowship.
The theme for our gathering will be a celebration of Buddha Day!
Buddha Day, a celebration of the Buddha’s enlightenment, is one of the most important holidays to Buddhists. Join us for this opportunity to marvel at the gift the Buddha bestowed upon humanity as we gather in community to commemorate his legacy.
This year we will celebrate with a special emphasis on generosity, continuing our year-long theme of practicing with Ratnasambhava.
Join us at the New York Zendo (223 E 67th St, New York, NY 10065) for a morning of meditation, discussion, ritual, and connecting with community, followed by lunch at 1:15 p.m. @Le Botaniste UES, which serves 100% organic, plant-based food. You can find it at 833 Lexington Avenue (between 63rd & 64th St).
This event is OPEN TO ALL—all are welcome.

Karunamala describes her journey as "profoundly beautiful and life changing." She continues to go on retreats enriched with meditation, dharma study, and an ever-deepening connection with her beloved Buddhist community (Sangha).
Anne has been a Mitra and practicing member of the Triratna community for over 20 years. She resides in NYC and practices with the NY NJ Sangha. Anne manages to balance a full-time career as a practicing attorney with parenthood, all while maintaining a substantial study and practice connection to the Sangha.
