Saturday, July 25th, 2026
10 am - 1 pm

In person at New York Zendo Shobo-ji
223 East 67th Street
New York, NY 10065

Event Description:

Join us for an in-person practice day as we come together in community for meditation, dharma teaching, and fellowship.

The theme for our gathering will be Ratnasambhava’s Creative Force and the Four Gifts!

The practice day will center on the creative energy inspired by Ratnasambhava. Painters, writers, and musicians will be evoked as examples of some ways this creative expression touches and heals our world.

Time permitting, we may also explore the global theme of the Four Gifts of loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. These practices, also known as the Bramaviharas, are central to the Buddhist worldview that emphasizes interdependence and unconditional goodwill to all beings.

Join us at the New York Zendo (223 E 67th St, New York, NY 10065) for a morning of meditation, discussion, ritual, and connecting with community, followed by lunch at 1:15 p.m. @Le Botaniste UES, which serves 100% organic, plant-based food. You can find it at 833 Lexington Avenue (between 63rd & 64th St).
