Event Description:
Come to the Zendo as we celebrate Dharma Day in community! Dharma Day is a commemoration of the first teaching of the Buddha after he attained enlightenment. It marks the beginning of Buddhism, which is a cause for celebration!
Join us at the New York Zendo (223 E 67th St, New York, NY 10065) for a morning of meditation, discussion, ritual, and connecting with community, followed by lunch at 1:15 p.m. @Le Botaniste UES, which serves 100% organic, plant-based food. You can find it at 833 Lexington Avenue (between 63rd & 64th St).

About the Leader:
Suryapala is an Ordained Buddhist in the Triratna Buddhist Community and has been practicing meditation regularly for six years. He began his Buddhist journey in the United Kingdom and for the last several years has been an active member of the New York/New Jersey sangha.
