Event Description:
After devoting a year of reflection to the creative energies of Ratnasamhava, it’s fitting that we close our 2026 Sangha Night series by focusing on the visual arts, i.e. “seeing” creatively as a practice. We will be led by Silasiddhi, an artist and professor of photography, as we explore this creative practice.
Sangha Nights are a special, once-a-month opportunity for the Triratna NY-NJ community to come together for an evening of Dharma programming and companionship. We gather on Zoom for meditation, Dharma talk and input, discussion groups, and reflections — all held within the context of spiritual friendship and community.

About the Leaders:
Silasiddhi is a long-time student of Buddhism, meditator, and professor of photography. He has been a member of the Triratna Buddhist Community since 1994 and was ordained in 2026.
Maxo is a former lawyer and social justice advocate who is currently exploring visual art as a dimension of his Buddhist practice, working across photography, painting, and textiles to reflect on themes of spiritual transformation, compassion, and awakening. He became a mitra in 2022 and is training for ordination in the Triratna Buddhist Order.
