Event Description:
Join us for an in-person practice day in New Jersey as we come together in community to celebrate Dharma Day!
Dharma Day honors the first teaching of the Buddha after he attained enlightenment. It marks the beginning of Buddhism, which is a cause for celebration!
The day will focus on the vital concepts of the Dharma as a timeless source of protection for all who follow its teachings.

We will explore the wisdom of our teacher Sangharakshita, who emphasized that the Dharma is the central principle of the Buddhist life, which sets us on a path of transformation.

We do not require COVID testing to attend in-person events. You are very welcome to test on your own and are encouraged to do so if you are at risk of being infected. All who care to are welcome to mask.
If you know you have been exposed to COVID-19 or if you have had COVID-19 within a five-day period of the event, we ask that you not attend in person.
If you have cold or flu symptoms, we ask that you do not attend in person.

About the Leader:
Srisara is a devoted Buddhist and a longtime member of the Triratna Buddhist Community. She was ordained in 2018 and is the first “homegrown” order member, having first come in contact with Triratna in New York City in 2003.
Srisara weaves Buddhism into all aspects of her life, including her work as a psychotherapist, and delights in the teachings on impermanence and our extraordinary capacity toward change. She feels most at home in nature and brings a wealth of practice and experience to her teachings.
