Eight Step Recovery: Exploring Addiction and Recovery Through the Lens of Buddhism

Wednesday Evenings
7:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m EST

Online via Zoom

Join us on Wednesdays as we host a meeting open to anyone who identifies as being in recovery from addiction, habitual behaviors, and obsessive tendencies.

We focus on the Buddhist and mindfulness teachings, as well as practical actions to overcome addiction, calm the mind, and heal the heart.

We draw on the text Eight Step Recovery: Using The Buddha’s Teachings to Overcome Addiction, pioneered by leading experts from our tradition: Vimalasara Mason-John and Dr. Paramabandhu Groves.

Eight-step recovery can benefit people in 12-step recovery programs and people new to recovery.

The meetings are open to everyone, Buddhists and non-Buddhists. Eight-step recovery is peer-led, and supported by Dana, a Buddhist tradition of generosity. Please contribute what you can afford, and please know that your presence is the most important contribution to the community.
